| WHY TRIM CANDLE WICKS? When wicks get too long they cannot draw wax up to the top of the wick causing the wick itself to burn. Even with cotton wicks and soy wax, smoking will occur if the wick starts to burn itself. Keeping wicks properly trimmed will prevent this from happening and ensure the candle burns longer. Never leave a burning candle unattended! Burn candles in proper holders and on a heat-resistant surface. Do not move or touch while hot or while wax is liquid. Trim wick to 1/4 inch before burning. Protect from drafts. Keep out of reach of children. Open flame - use caution and at your own risk. To extinguish flame put the lid on the jar. |
